How do I claim warranty on my Daraz Like New?

To claim the Daraz Like New Warranty, the customer will have to contact the seller on chat for warranty claim or reach out to our customer service agent for assistance. After contacting the seller, the customer will courier the Daraz Like New item themselves and will bear the delivery costs. After the warranty claim from the seller, the package will be sent back to the customer within 7 working days and the delivery costs will be paid by the seller. However, if the customer and seller are based in the same city, the customer can visit the seller's shop to claim warranty.You can find all of the information about our repair labs here

Is this warranty an insurance?

No, Daraz Like New Warranty is not an insurance. No customer or third party is an insurer or a third-party beneficiary.

Do I need to pay for repairs?

You do not have to pay for repairs if the item is under Daraz Like New Warranty and you have not violated any of the terms stated by Daraz.

If the Warranty period has passed, the customer will have to bear the repair costs. The final amount of the repair cost will be determined by the seller after assessment.

Do I need to pay the cost of returning the item?

Return is free on Daraz but the customer has to submit the return request within 14 days after the delivery of the package.

If the customer is claiming Daraz Like New Warranty from the seller, then the customer has to bear the cost of delivery. After the warranty claim, the seller will send back the item back and bear the cost of delivery.

Limitation

All Daraz Like New items are sold on an ‘as-is’ basis. By placing an order for a Like New item, the customer acknowledges and agrees that they purchase the Daraz Like New items at their own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties and remedies, and we specifically disclaim all statutory or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and against hidden or latent defects. Daraz is not liable for:

  1. Any costs or losses that the Customer incurs from their own actions and/or negligence
  2. Indirect costs/damages
  3. Loss of profit, opportunity, revenue, business or data
  4. Punitive or consequential damages
  5. Failure to deliver the Daraz Like New item or to meet any of our other obligations under this Daraz Like New Warranty where such failure is due to an event that is beyond our reasonable control, which includes but is not limited to fire, flood, storm, riot, civil disturbance, war, nuclear accident, terrorist activity, strikes, pandemics, epidemics or quarantine.

Daraz does not provide original purchase receipts from the original owner of the Daraz Like New item and is not liable to do so.

Daraz and its sellers reserve the right to reject or accept warranty claims on a case to case basis. Additionally, Daraz reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of Daraz Like New Warranty at any time without any notice.

Coverage

Seller warrants to the Customer that the Daraz Like New items sold shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use after the delivery date (the “Warranty Period”).

The Customer is to keep the item in its original packaging to return or claim warranty. Goods will only be accepted for return if they are returned within fourteen (14) days of delivery. The item is the Customer's responsibility until it reaches the Daraz/Seller facility. Therefore, for the Customer's own protection we recommend that the Customer sends the package using a delivery service that provides insurance equivalent to the value of the item so that the Customer can claim it in case of any damages or loss. The Customer is liable to share a proof of delivery of the package (invoice or tracking ID). If we do not receive the package within the agreed timeline, we may reject the return request.

Sellers may provide remedial maintenance and repair, including all parts and labour, necessary to restore failed hardware to proper working condition (only if its covered in warranty else Sellers will inform either directly or through Daraz regarding additional charges for parts which aren’t covered under warranty). Sellers may, at their option, replace hardware or parts of hardware and may use refurbished parts or modules in performing this service. Replacement parts become the Customer's property and replaced parts become the Sellers’ property.

Daraz or its Sellers will not be able to provide the Customer with replacement hardware while their hardware is being repaired. The Seller will repair the Customer’s hardware within the terms of the Daraz Like New Warranty within fourteen (14) days counted from the date of arrival to the Sellers’ facilities. In some cases, such as during public holidays or for other reasons, the repair process may take longer. In order for the device to be repaired within a reasonable time, the quality of the device, availability of spare parts, quality and extent of the fault or other special technical properties must also be considered.

Note: We recommend that the customer saves and backs up all data, switches off any tracking options on the device and performs a factory-reset to remove all personal data before returning the item and also ensure it should be free from any security lock. DURING WARRANTY SERVICE IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE CONTENTS OF THE PRODUCT’S STORAGE MEDIA WILL BE LOST, REPLACED OR REFORMATTED. IN SUCH AN EVENT DARAZ AND ITS SELLERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA, OR OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE PRODUCT SERVICED.

Terms and Conditions

  • Warranty is not applicable if the handset is subject to neglect, used improperly or recklessly, is dead, has any incorrect mechanical or electrical installation. If the phone is exposed to any liquid or moisture, is broken, has a burnt circuit or overheated due to voltage, or if the handset has been opened or serviced anywhere, warranty will not be applicable. Warranty is also excluded incase of rooting, accidental damage, acts of God, is abused or misused, or if the damage is caused by use of non-genuine accessories or equipment that is not an integral part of the device. In all these cases, Daraz reserves the right to cancel the warranty, and return back the handset without any refund. Daraz would be the judge on all such matters and its decision will be final and binding.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the customer to back up all data before returning the phone.
  • Daraz holds the right to confiscate a handset if found that any law enforcement agency or PTA has blocked its use due to involvement in illegal activity by the customer.

What should I expect to receive with my Daraz Like New Laptop or Tablet and in what condition?

All Daraz Like New Laptops and Tablets purchases will come with all components fully functional with minimal scratches, minor usage but no damage. Packed in Like New original packaging, all Laptops and Tablets come with a preinstalled operating system and a minimum battery backup of 1.5 hours (90 minutes) under multimedia usage.

Condition of the item
You can check the condition of the item in the description. Here is what Cosmetic and Functional conditions mean.

  • Cosmetic condition: Excellent screen with no spots or damage. No signs of breakage but minor marks on the body/casing may imply usage in the past. Some scratches may be visible too.
  • Functional condition: Functional condition means that the item exceeds 80% of its original battery life, is accompanied with generic or original accessories and packaging.

The following are not covered under Like New Warranty

  • Normal wear and tear of the device and battery.
  • Any issues in battery after thirty (30) days from the date of delivery.
  • Any damage to the screen, touch, camera & panel.
  • Any issues caused by the operating system, software or driver-related faults including ones that may cause damage to the hardware.
  • Any issues on the LED like spots, lines or glitches.
  • Detection and removal of viruses or malware from the device.
  • Damage to the device caused by failure to follow instructions and/or improper or unusual use of the device.
  • Opening casing of the device will void Daraz Like New Warranty.
  • Damage to the device during delivery due to customer’s negligence is not covered by the Daraz Like New Warranty. Customers are responsible for properly packing the device in its original packaging as it was received.
  • Daraz Like New Warranty is voided if the device’s serial number, warranty seal or IMEI has been removed, or is made unreadable.
  • Other indirect damages or financial losses caused by the malfunctioning of the device, like corruption of data.
  • If the device bought from Daraz has been repaired by the Customer themselves or a third party without the written consent of Daraz, your warranty will be voided.
  • If the device is bent, has damage caused by liquid/moisture, or if any features like keyboards, screen, buttons etc. have broken due to improper usage, accidents, abuse, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, improper maintenance, or improper voltage supply; your item will not be eligible for warranty claim.
  • Damage or failure arising out of interference from or with other electronic devices, alteration, firmware flashing, bios flashing etc.
  • Failure to perform required preventive maintenance, normal wear and tear, act of God, fire, flood, war, act of violence or any similar occurrence.
  • Loss exceeding the original value or replacement value (whichever is the lesser) of the item.

What should I expect to receive with my Daraz Like New purchase and in what condition?

Daraz Like New Smartwatches are original branded smartwatches that are slightly used with minimal scratches. All Like New smartwatches are listed after a strict assessment of their quality to ensure that only the top of the line smartwatches are being offered. Smartwatches will have up-to 5 hours of battery-time (Actual battery life will vary with use, settings, and environment).

Condition of the item
You can check the condition of the item in the description. Here is what Cosmetic and Functional conditions mean.

  • Cosmetic condition: Very minor signs of usage and scratches may be visible from arm’s length. Scratchless brand new strap with A-grade quality, may or may not be original.
  • Functional condition: Fully functional with all features working, may have minimal scratches, minor usage but no damage.

Coverage of the warranty
Like New Smartwatches are covered under a 1-Month service warranty. This includes software and service, but touch and panel are not covered.

Note: It is recommended that only the original chargers are used with the smartwatches to preserve battery health and prevent overcharge or heating.

All Daraz Like New Airbuds will come reconditioned but fully functional with very minor to no damage.

Condition of the item

  • Airbuds will be in good condition with proper functionality & minimal signs of cosmetic damage / scratches..
  • Airbuds will have power, buttons, up-to 3 hours of battery-time (Actual battery life will vary with use, settings, and environment).
  • All Airbuds will be fully functional with minor usage but no damage.

Coverage of the warranty
Seller warrants that all Daraz Like New Airbuds will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one 1 month after the delivery date (the “Warranty Period”).
Customers will have to pack the Airbuds in its original packaging when returning or claiming warranty. Like New Airbuds will only be accepted for return if the return request is submitted within 14 days after delivery. The item is under customer's responsibility till it reaches the Daraz/Seller facility.   • Seller warrants that the Daraz Like New Speaker sold shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one (1) month after the delivery date (the “Warranty Period”).
